Hansville

[Not a valid template]

Located on the northern part of the Kitsap Peninsula, Hansville is home to beach cottages, the Point No Point historic lighthouse and perhaps the most impressive stretch of sandy beaches around. Lighthouse enthusiasts are naturally drawn to Hansville, which houses the U.S. Lighthouse Society, an internationally-recognized nonprofit organization. This three acre park is located at the end of the Point No Point Rd off the Hansville Road. Trained docents offer tours and the vacationers can rent the guest house for extended stays. For those who prefer to spend leisurely summer afternoons on the beach or fishing along the shoreline. White-sanded beaches are a natural playground for residents and visitors alike. Buck Lake County Park is located nearby and is used by all. The site of the annual Hansville Rummage sale, the park attracts swimmers and fishermen. It’s also the access point for the Hansville Greenway, a trail that stretches from Hood Canal to Point No Point, maps available at the trailhead. It’s a popular spot for extended hikes and walks.
