Point Monroe

[Not a valid template]

Have you ever heard of a home with not one, but two waterfronts? Located on the Northeastern tip of the island, with about fifty homes of this kind, Point Monroe is a very unique community. In addition to the view across the lagoon, these homes also have access to expansive views of the Puget sound and the stunning scenery of the Cascade Mountains. Most of the homes are on the smaller end, previous fishing cabins, all very quaint and charming, typically 1960s or 1970s construction. Though the price range fluctuates, you can expect a home here with approximately two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and slightly under 2,000 square feet to run somewhere around $600,000-$800,000. Of course, there are a few more recent constructions further down the spit that are on the larger, more elaborate side of things (as well as other smaller places that run slightly lower in price). Point Monroe is also a neighbor to Fay Bainbridge State Park. In case two waterfronts are not satisfactory, you will also have access to the park’s 1,420 feet of shoreline between 8am and dusk [1]. If you have ever dreamed of owning your own kayak and taking it for a spin right outside your home, Point Monroe provides the perfect opportunity to do so. And incase launching a kayak from your own residence is too troublesome, the park has a kayak launch available for your use. To make up for the minimal yard space on Point Monroe, the park has a large grassy area as well as large picnic shelters that accommodate up to 50 people and are available for rent in 4 hour time blocks for $60 [1]. The residents on Point Monroe form a very tight-knit community and they celebrate every 4th of July with their own parade that concludes in Fay Bainbridge State Park. If you are someone who craves a one-of-a-kind home with personality and comfort but with breathtaking surroundings, plenty of recreation, and a welcoming community of neighbors, be sure to check out Point Monroe and it will easily soar to the top of your list.
